Richard Zimler Award In Portuguese

The purpose of this award is to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student of at least sophomore academic standing enrolled in the College of the Liberal Arts at The Pennsylvania State University who is participating in linguistic research in Portuguese and any language in contact with Portuguese. This includes bi-lingual (or multi-lingual) research involving Portuguese.

Boren Scholarship

Boren Scholarships, funded by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), provide American undergraduate students with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experiences in areas of the world critical to the future security of our nation, in exchange for their commitment to seek work in the federal government. Foreign Language And Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships

Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships assist undergraduate and graduate students in achieving competency in selected foreign languages, including Portuguese, and conducting research in related international and area studies. Undergraduate Awards - Spanish & Portuguese

Judy Frankel Silver And Gold Award In Spanish And Portuguese

Consideration for this award shall be given to recognize academic excellency by undergraduate students of at least junior standing who are participating in or are scheduled to participate in linguistic research in Spanish, Portuguese, Gallego, Catalan, Judeo-Español, or any languages in contact with Spanish or Portuguese (such as Palenquero, Goan Konkani, etc.) in the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State University Park. This includes bilingual (or multilingual) research involving one or more of the aforementioned languages.
