Michael Johns

Biography

Michael Johns is a University Graduate Fellow, currently pursuing an M.A in Hispanic Linguistics. He earned his B.A. in Linguistics and Spanish from the University of Florida, where he volunteered as a research assistant for the UF Language and Brain Labs. His research interests include: sentence processing in both bilinguals and monolinguals; code-switching, and in particular its effects on grammatical gender in Spanish; and second language production, alongside its relation to aspects of executive function and working memory. Michael is originally from western North Carolina, and has travelled extensively around the southeastern United States.
