Second language acquisition, teacher education, eye-tracking, language processing

Biography:

Kevin discovered his passion for foreign language teaching after the completion of his undergraduate degree in Chile and becoming a high school educator in Saint Paul, Minnesota. His passion for education led him to pursue a master’s degree, where he began conducting experimental research.

His previous work aimed at exploring the teaching beliefs of graduate instructors. His research contributed to the development of a language teaching training program that is currently used by a graduate program at a public university in Texas.

Incidental findings from his master’s research ignited a genuine interest in understanding various facets of language processing and cognition. Consequently, Kevin resolved to advance his education by pursuing a dual-title Ph.D. degree in Hispanic Linguistics and Language Science at The Pennsylvania State University.
