Mariela Abigail Chi Baack

I am an MA/Ph.D. student in the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. I earned a BA in TESOL from the Universidad de Quintana Roo. My research interests focus on Spanish-Mayan language contact and bilingualism. I am also interested in phonological variation of Yucatan Spanish. Outside the linguistic realm, I like singing and dancing disco songs, going birdwatching, and playing the piano.
