Research Interests:

Spanish as a heritage language in the US, sociolinguistic acquisition and variation, bilingualism.

Biography:

I am a second-year graduate student in the MA/PhD Hispanic Linguistics program and NSF-NRT Graduate Research Traineeship fellow. I am also an activist, scholar and advocate for immigrants rights and access to education in the Dominican Republic and New Jersey. My current research interests include Spanish as a heritage language in the US, specifically morphosyntactic variation across generations and the different dialects of Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy learning about plants, cooking and working out.
