Biography:

Ms. Ventura earned a M.Ed. in Foreign Language Education from the University of Florida and a B.A. in English Philology from the University of Barcelona. She also earned a Certificate of Pedagogic Aptitude from the University of Barcelona and a Teaching Permit Certificate from the Pennsylvania State of Education.

Ms. Ventura has taught Spanish at Friends School in State College. She has also had the experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language to High School students in Spain and Spanish for High School students at SCASD. She also taught Spanish for Adults at the Community Education Program in State College.

While in Graduate School Ms. Ventura was a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Florida. She also had the opportunity to work as a translator of 17th Century Spanish Documents for the Spain/Florida Alliance in the College of Liberal Arts at University of Florida.

In the SIP Department Ms. Ventura has been an Academic Adviser, an Intermediate Spanish Course Supervisor and a Coordinator for the Summer Intensive Language Institute ran by The Continuing Education Department. Currently, she is a Lecturer in Spanish for Penn State University teaching in the BSL program.
