Biography:

Milton is a MA/Ph.D. student in the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. He obtained a MA in Spanish Linguistics at Instituto Caro y Cuervo in Bogotá, Colombia. At Penn State, Milton has worked teaching Spanish 1 to graduate students. Before arriving at Penn State, he researched the diphthongized voseo in the Guajira and Cesar region of the Colombian Caribbean. He described some morphosyntactic features of voseo, the distribution of the voseo isogloss, and its sociolinguistic behavior as well.
