Javier López Seoane finished his B.A. in English Language and Literature at the Universidade da Coruña, Spain, in 2016. Originally born in the city of Ferrol—in Galicia, Spain—he has lived in many different cities all over the country: Ferrol, Ávila, Barcelona, Denia, A Coruña, Melilla y Ceuta. He is very passionate about the history of Spain, its cultures and different languages. For that reason, his primary interests in the field of linguistics include language change, languages in contact, bilingualism and Second Language Acquisition. I addition to this, he wants to enhance his knowledge on the field of phonology too.

Right after finishing his university degree, he joined the College of the Holy Cross, MA, for a Foreign Language Assistant program in the academic year 2016/2017. Teaching Spanish in that program discovered his love for the academia, which together with his passion for languages lead to the decision of undertaking the M.A. and Ph.D. program in Spanish Linguistics at Penn State University.
