Spanish Minor
The Spanish Minor
All students wishing to complete a Spanish Minor must take a minimum of 18 credit hours of Spanish at the Spanish 100 level and higher.
Required courses:
Spanish 100
Spanish 110
Spanish 215 or 253W
Spanish 100 and SPAN 110 may be taken concurrently, but both must be taken before either SPAN 215 or 253.
Take three courses from the list below. At least TWO must be at the 400 level.

SPAN 199, 299, 399 and 499 (Study Abroad…Spanish) and SPAN 197, 297,397 and 497 (Special Topics Courses) may also be applied to the Spanish minor and be will substituted for the appropriate course by the Spanish minor advisor. All courses taken abroad must be taught in Spanish.
NOTE
Spanish 130, 131, 230, 231 and any course that does not require a knowledge of Spanish DO NOT count toward the Spanish

Spanish 301
Spanish 215 or 253W
Please be aware that Spanish 100A is the prerequisite for Spanish 301. These courses will have to be taken
over two separate semesters. They cannot be taken simultaneously.
